That’s why I created Listen to Your Life Meetups, Workshops, and Coaching Programs. I want to support you in getting clear on what joy looks like for YOU, identify obstacles and ways to overcome them, and create a strategy and a plan of action to make that life a reality. Then, I support you in taking action, step-by-step, holding you accountable and cheering you on all along the way!
Since 2007, I have been credentialed as a Certified Professional Coach with the International Coach Federation (the world’s largest professional coaching body), a process that requires me to adhere to a tough Code of Ethics, keep my professional development up to date and to demonstrate my training, knowledge, experience and capability to impartial expert examiners.
I have completed both introductory and advanced courses in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at Duke Integrative Medicine. Mindfulness and meditation are a big part of my life.
I have been studying and practicing meditation for over 15yrs and recently completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, a 2-Year Professional Training Program for Teaching Awareness and Compassion-Based Practices taught in person by Jack Kornfield & Tara Brach. I am now a Certified Mindfulness Teacher by both the Awareness Training Institute and University of California Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center.
As a businesswoman and entrepreneur I have decades of experience working for Fortune 100 companies, small technology start-ups and nonprofit organizations, currently serving as Vice President of a global software company. I hold a BA from Hofstra University and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management, as well as certificates from several other leadership training programs.
I have completed studies at the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City receiving ordination as an interfaith minister in 2008, then serving as assistant dean. Over the course of 2 years, the seminary provided me an interspiritual framework to explore religious traditions, to deepen my own spiritual practice, and to learn how to develop authentic spiritual community. That experience taught me to understand the deeper essence that underlies the spiritual treasures of every major tradition and nurture a direct experience of the unity that underlies it. My current focus is on the study and practice of Buddhist principles and ethics.
I traveled to Haiti to work with the Africa Yoga Project, teaching empowerment workshops to young girls at a YWCA in 2015.
I have also been a Life Skills Instructor with StepUP Ministry in Raleigh N.C. working with adults transforming their lives, and I currently offer mindfulness to organizations like Haven House, an organization founded in 1973 to provide community-based services to at-risk youth and their families in Wake County.
I study and practice Vipassana and attend silent and teacher-led retreats regularly. I also love spending time with my family, meditation, the beach, reading, writing, meaningful conversation with friends, and watching Golden Girls as much as possible.
