About Sharon...
Certified Professional Coach (CPC) | Certified Mindfulness Teacher (CMT-P)

Over the past 25+ years, I have transformed my life and rebuilt my career, incorporating what I've learned and practiced into a unique, proven, science-backed, step-by-step model for living fully, focused on Intention + Alignment + Mindfulness.
As a Certified Professional Coach for over 14yrs trained by iPEC, and a Certified Mindfulness Teacher trained by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield in the Mindfulness Meditation teacher Certification Program (2016), I leverage science and ancient teachings to act as a catalyst, helping you achieve extraordinary results.
My approach is casual, engaged, and encouraging as I hold you accountable to leaning into the life that you want to call forward.
I am a Mentor in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program (MMTCP) and a Founding Advisor and Teacher at Cloud Sangha and part of a leadership team that includes Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Our intention is to provide expert guidance to deepen your mindfulness practice in a supportive and diverse, global community.
I've received transmission of the Three Jewels and the Five Mindfulness Trainings in 2013 from my teacher Cheri Maples, and participated in the Community Dharma Leaders Program (CDL6) at Spirit Rock, an Insight Meditation Center, before it was interrupted by COVID.
I am also a Board Member with Peace at Any Pace (PAAP). The mission of PAAP is to offer healing opportunities through culturally specific journeys, genealogical mapping, storytelling, drumming and mindful awareness to multigenerational people of the African diaspora who suffer from the impact of intergenerational and ancestral traumas. PAAP facilitates national and international classes, retreats, and sojourns to bridge ancestral histories to present day experiences, transforming wounds to wisdom, leading to deep time liberation.
I've been featured in the 20th Anniversary edition of Spirituality and Health Magazine and Thích Nhất Hạnh's Mindfulness Bell.
For over 25yrs, I’ve maintained sobriety from alcoholism, rebuilt my career to become VP of a global software company, created loving and supportive community, married the love of my life, and started my own heart-centered business.
In my own life + working with coaching clients for over a decade + listening to my 3800+ member Meetup community over the past 14yrs, I understand transitions and challenges and I know what leads to lasting change and transformation. And I'd like to share that with you.
I have completed studies at the One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City receiving ordination as an interfaith minister in 2008, then serving as assistant dean. Over the course of two years, the seminary provided for me an inter-spiritual framework to explore religious traditions, to deepen my own spiritual practice, and to learn how to develop authentic community.
That experience helped me understand the deeper essence that underlies the spiritual treasures of every major tradition and nurture a direct experience of the Unity at the core.
I am currently co-teaching the Business Plan & Entrepreneurial Support Program in collaboration with SCORE and Shaw University, a popular multi-week program designed to support and mentor BiPOC business owners.
I've also traveled to Haiti to work with the Africa Yoga Project, teaching an empowerment workshop to young girls, and have also been a Life Skills Instructor with StepUP Ministry, working with adults who are transforming their lives after incarceration and/or homelessness. I currently offer mindfulness “Lunch & Learns” to organizations like Haven House that provide community-based services to at-risk youth and their families.
I have deep love, respect and gratitude for all the beings who have supported me, and whose shoulders I stand on - my ancestors, teachers, mentors, friends, family.
