True Power Leadership Training with Joe Weston
July 2019 - February 2020 | Baltimore, MD
Sharon works as a Consultant and Coach on a team led by Joe Weston, founder of the renowned Respectful Confrontation® method, currently collaborating with the leadership team of Promise Heights, an organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for youth and ensuring families are healthy and successful in the West Baltimore communities of Upton/Druid Heights.
The True Power work focuses on deepening relationships, supporting purpose and fulfillment, and training leaders for the 21st century. True Power is the energy that fuels organizations, communities, and movements, the shared creative capacity of each individual when all commit to a common vision and agreed upon ways of working together. It is not “Power Over,” the power that dominates and harms, but rather “Power Within,” the starting point when all members of a team are willing to develop their own sense of power. When connected across an organization or a network, it becomes “Power With,” the power that is activated when all involved invest in building safety, trust, and deep collaboration, and finally the “Power To” create lasting change and widen the scope of influence.
